Become a Racer, Not a Driver

Winning races is nice, so is putting down fast laps and qualifying pole. Good drivers can do that. But if you want to be a champion, you need more– you need to be a racer.

Anyone can learn to be a racer, even if only one of us can be a Champion each year. When surrounded by other racers we make each other better. We grow our skills. Then racing becomes more exciting to be in, and to watch.

Written from a racers perspective, this blog is about good race-craft, techniques to maximize your time at the track, and how to keep your focus on what matters. From rookies to veterans, open wheel to fenders, sims to F1, whether you are running your first race or your 100th, Oakman On Racing will give you advice you can try on your very next run.

Now get out there and be a Racer.
